I went to this salon because my friend recommended it, and this was my first time colouring my hair. When I booked online, the price clearly said $60, and I had the email confirmation to match. When I arrived, the hairdresser asked what I wanted and explained I'd need to bleach my hair, which I already knew and was completely fine with. Then he suddenly told me it would be $200. I mentioned the $60 price online, and he just said it would "take time," but nowhere on the website does it say bleaching costs extra or that additional fees apply. Money isn't the issue at all the problem is the misleading information. If the real price was going to be $200, that should have been made clear before booking, not once I was already sitting there. The service also wasn't great. One staff member washed my hair, but another checked and realised it hadn't been washed properly, so it had to be washed again. That didn't give me much confidence. When my hair was straightened, the colour looked okay at first, so I thought it was fine. But the next day I noticed the top of my hair is lighter and the bottom is darker. It's uneven, and for the price I ended up paying, that's really disappointing. Overall, I'm not happy with the experience. This was meant to be a positive first-time colour for me, but the misleading pricing and the uneven result have put me off ever returning.

Absolutely terrible job on Keratin. They clearly said that it was $100 and cheap but after I showered it turned into my natural hair. Do not get Keratin at AJ's ever. Weak chemicals and 1 day results.

Upon booking my appointment, I was asked if I would like to add a hair treatment in addition to my haircut. I specifically requested a toner, wash and blow dry and a cut clearly indicating that I did not wish to include a treatment. After the toner was applied, I was informed it would only take a few minutes; however, I ended up waiting at the basin for nearly an hour while the stylist attended to a walk-in client. Furthermore, a different staff member proceeded to wash my hair and, contrary to my earlier request, applied a treatment that I had explicitly declined. This left my scalp feeling irritated due to an excess of product that was not properly washed off. Following this, I was seated for a brushing session, during which it became apparent that the stylist lacked the necessary experience with women's hair. I had to request to brush my hair myself due to excessive pulling and discomfort. Unfortunately, due to the prolonged wait and lack of proper service, I had to leave without receiving a blow dry or a haircut. Moreover, I was charged $45 for the services rendered, yet upon reviewing the pricing on your app, I noticed that the toner was listed at $25 and the wash at $10, leading to an unexplained $10 charge. After returning home, I felt compelled to wash my hair again due to the residue left by the products. Additionally, I experienced discomfort in the back of my neck from the extended time spent at the basin. Overall, I was left feeling shocked and disappointed by the entire experience, which did not meet the standards I anticipated from your salon.

I had an absolutely appalling experience at this salon. The owner's behavior was beyond unacceptable—he was extremely rude, screaming at me and my sister for no reason whatsoever. He was shaking uncontrollably while yelling, and his behavior was so erratic that, for a moment, I genuinely questioned if he might be under the influence of something. His actions were far from normal or professional. We simply asked for the total price, and instead of receiving a straightforward answer, we were met with aggression and insults. This level of disrespect is not something anyone should endure. To make matters worse, he insulted his own brother, who was trying to work alongside him. We went there expecting to relax, enjoy our time, and leave with a fresh look, but instead, we paid money to be humiliated and insulted. This experience completely ruined our day. I strongly advise others to avoid this salon if they value respect, professionalism, and peace of mind. I wish i can give a zero star

this place is terrible. I had an appointment at 10am for a hair styling for a wedding, and was told AJ was going to be 10min late. At 10:17 his brother says he is going to be 40 minutes late. Absolutely no consideration for their customers. Avoid this place at all costs. I'd give it a zero if I could. - update: he just called me and asked me to take my review down because "everyone has emergencies". It's not about that - it's the fact that nothing was communicated to me when I had already been waiting for 17 minutes.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this hair salon. After giving birth, I went in, hoping to refresh myself with a nice haircut, hair colour and hair treatment, but instead, I was met with disrespect, swearing, and harassment from AJ. The unprofessional communication left me feeling upset and in tears. According to the NSW Fair Trading Code of Practice for the Hairdressing Industry, hairdressers are required to treat customers with respect and ensure professional communication. This standard was clearly not upheld during my visit. In addition, I also believe that his treatments do not align with my expectations. He needs to not only address his behaviour but also improve his skills. I would not recommend this salon to anyone seeking a respectful and positive experience.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for quality service or a pleasant experience. It's unfortunate to see such a lack of respect for customers in what should be a professional environment. Aj was not only disrespectful but also swore and used extremely inappropriate language. When confronted about this behavior, they excused it by claiming he had anger issues. How is that the customer's fault? If you have unresolved personal issues, you should address them before working in an industry where interacting with people is a key part of the job. The lack of professionalism and respect was shocking. If I could give less than one star, I absolutely would. Avoid this place at all costs if you value decent treatment and a professional experience.

I often wonder why their price is way cheaper than my other barber. Well, price speaks for itself. I am not so sure what length I wanted so I said to cut it not too short and we take it from there if I would want to trim it more down but he went on with "1" length right away then ask , "is this ok" LOL. Seriously? if I said no, can you bring back that length that you cut? and when I told him my preference (and as if I have a choice that point, he already cut it too short), he seems like he's not happy to be challenged. One of the worst haircut I've ever had. I went there to feel a lot better about my look and I stepped out like I paid 25 to make myself feel worse.

He's not a barber, he's a butcher. I'm taking the effort to write this review because after you noticed that it's the first time I come here, you wanted to offer me a $5 discount. When you seen that you completely ruined my beard and that I was unhappy with the haircut, rather than not charging at all, he charged me the full price haircut (not even offering the $5 off that he wanted to lol). Probably thought to himself, well he's lost me because of the bad haircut, might aswell make the most of it.

Booked an appointment through fresha and arrived early, there were 7 people in the waiting area, barbers just ignored me and I sat in the waiting area as well, barber then just called up the next person, doesnt seem that they honor bookings and are very unprofessional, waiting and wasted time and just left.

This place sucks, went to get a haircut & beard trim. Bloke that was cutting my hair was shoving the razor into my throat & back of my neck, was extremely painful. I don't know how he's a barber. Also the price is not what it says online when I booked. $35 online but they charge me $50. I can see why this place is always empty.
